MTV Sticky, or ‘Switched on’ as it used to be called, is a magazine which is created and edited by MTV’s International Research department and distributed to MTV’s advertisers and staff. To be correct, it’s a Youth Trend Monitor. What sounds like a tool to help manipulate teenagers, is in fact a mag filled with some of the most interesting things happening in youth culture today. The origin of much of the content is a blog we created, which allows MTV to automatically generate a newsletter once a month. Every 3 months, the best of the blog is fused with global editorial pieces to form the magazine, which stays true to the blog format in its art direction.
