For Stylelab’s Spring/Summer 2002 collection, we developed a Java applet which converts images into line drawings, evolving over time and then rewrote it as new code for Shock- wave. The result is an image which hints at the underlying source image, but looks more like a torn net-stocking - one of the metaphors we chose for the punk-inspired collection, or a mesh, a metaphor for the web itself.
